Is coffee good for us? Is it bad for us? Is it that too black and white of an issue? No, we are unique humans with different constitutions and needs. And we are completely bombarded with different ideas about what is healthy: fasting, keto, juicing, low carb, carnivore, it can all be so overwhelming. But, there are some fundamental principles of health and physiology according to Chinese Medicine, that are greatly impacted by large consumptions of things like coffee (especially on an empty stomach). As a recovered big time coffee addict, and an AHPRA registered Acupuncturist and Herbalist, I have some very important health and nutrition advice that I share constantly I my clinic. This is not an exercise in coffee shaming! No way. You are welcome to do as you please and it doesn't bother me at all.
