Yin Yoga asana variations manual
This is the Asana variations directory that I give to all the yin teachers that participate in my Yin Yoga certified trainings.
It is a 22 page compilation of well know yin postures, and different variations of those postures that you can offer your students.
Many of the postures are ones that i have found over my years of teaching to be really helpful for general yin yoga classes.
There is a key within the manual as follows:
Each page has a main posture at the top of the page.
Where you see a minus sign -
This is a posture variation that might help a student to feel less, if the posture is too challenging
Where you see a plus sign +
This is a posture variation that might help a student to feel more, if that is their desire.
* All bodies are unique and different.
This is just a guide.
Remember, Yin Yoga is not about being agressive with your body (but if you are teaching this yoga, you already know this).
Many of the teachers I have trained take this manual with them to class and report back to me about how valuable it has been to help create accessibility and posture positivity in their classes.
